It is found that three factors including mi pact load, mi pact energy and subgrademodulus coupling influence pavement slab crack ing effect andm echan ical behavior. The crack ingmode and effect of the slab is distinctw ith the different mi pact position. On condition of general subgrademodu lus( themodulus of the foundation is about 30~ 60MPa), the mi pact position at the corner of the slab has the deepest mi pact depth and the slab w ould have the largest d isplacement. W hen the mi pact position is at the center or side of the slab, itw ill break from bottom to top, and the mi pact position at the corner offers the largest breakage area at the bottom; the breakage effect increasew ith the mi pact energy, butwhen the subgrademodu- lus is high, the slab tends to be hard to crack.
