对西方翻译理论家Lawrence Venuti的异化翻译理论的再思考 马会娟 （北京外国语大学中国外语教育研究中心 北京 100089） ? 提要：本文在阐明美国翻译理论家Venuti所主张的异化翻译理论的实质的基础上，以实例说明了该理论在翻译研究中所存在的问题。首先，Venuti的异化翻译理论没有考虑到文学翻译的目的和接受者的需求。其次，异化翻译能否改变英美国家的翻译状况值得怀疑。第三，“流畅”的归化翻译具有普遍性，并不仅仅是强势国家的主流翻译方法。本文最后指出了异化翻译的理论基础及其可能的负面影响。 Abstract: On the basis of clarifying the real nature of Lawrence Venuti抯 theory of foreignization strategy, this paper discusses its limitations mainly from three aspects: (1) Venuti抯 foreignization strategy ignores the purpose of literary translation and the receptors of the target language;(2) It is questionable whether the foreignizatio
