Positive and neutral messages are organized using the direct order. Indirect order: supporting information – the main idea. Negative and persuasive messages are organized using the indirect order. Direct-indirect order: the positive message – the reasons for the negative messages – the negative message. When you have both a positive message and a negative message for the receiver, use direct-indirect order.
