Objective/Indicative Content: Attendance on this course will Understand Acquired brain injury Understand the impact of Acquired Brain Injury on the individual Understand the specialist communication needs of an individual with Acquired Brain Injury Understand the impact that personality changes can have on the individual Understand the impact of challenging behaviour Inclusive Learning Issues: Ground rules agreed Sensitivity to participants to allow for own experiences Various learning styles catered for Abbreviations used: ABI – acquired brain injury Resources: PP presentation – lap top projector Reference material Information for group exercises – briefing sheets Handouts Flip paper / pens / etc Refreshments Risk Assessment: Emergency exits clear and well signed.
