The Emperor Penguin 帝王企鹅（帝企鹅） Why polar bear dont eat penguin? Yes!Because penguin lives in the South pole! Their living environment There are 18 different species of penguins exist in the world.They all live in the Southern Hemisphere. But ,it is only one kind of penguin dwell at South pole that is emeperor penguin. The lowest temperature of Soulth pole can reach minus fifty degrees. In summer they live in the sea home,when winter is coming they will live far away from the sea to produce offspring. Feature of penguin The emperor penguin is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species .The male and female are similar in plumage(全身羽毛) and size, reaching 122 cm in height and weighing from 22 to 45 kg . The lifespan is typically 20 years in the wild, although observations suggest that some individuals may live to 50 years of age. Their fat layers are very thick about 3 to 4 cm,which can help them to remain temperature and resist cold. Prepared for migration For three months, they will eat a lot of food to store energy for the coming winter. Some penguins will gather togather , waiting for set up. Migration Each year around the same time they will leave their comfortable sea home, and begain their remarkabel journey.It will spend nealy 20 days. Though they are bird, they wont fly; though they live in the sea they wont swim. Mostly they will walk ,or sometimes use their bellies skating. Migration During this long journey,some penguins will lose their way ,and finally, hopelessly die in the frozen and snow-covered land for cold and hungery . Majority of them will arrive their destinatin safely,and almost at the same time. Courtship（找对象） Penguin is monogamous animal. Although they can change their spouse next year, most of them will remain their marriage. Tow or more female penguins will flight with each other for the female amount is more than male .
