Abstract The postal savings service resumed in 1 986，which offers the financial service only for individuals．Having developed for near 20years，the postal savings service has contributed a Iot to the national economic construction and the development of the national postal service．Its scope is just smaller than that of the four main national commercial banks．Its income occupies more than 1／3 of the total income of the postal service．At present，the postal savings not only plays an important role in ChinalS financial market，but also becomes the main business in the national posml service．As China joined WTO，the financial reform and the post reform faster develops，the postal savings service reform is concerned by largely．Because of the stress of reform and the fiercer competition among the financial institutions，it’S the future that the postal savings service do by market。Then the most concerned question coming what’S the market location ofthe postal savings service in the future． From the point of view of strategic management and other person’S study method，the author first reference the examples from the foreign country，then analyze the intemal and external environment that the postal savings service is confronted with．As a result，the author draws the conclusion include the postal savings service market location and the further suggestions．This study can be adopted as reference for practical work in the postal savings service in China and it is also the development in application of the relevant theories learned in class． The thesis consists of five chapters： Chapter one introduce the development、present state and theproblem the thesis will study． Chapter two aims tO apply the reference to the market location of China’S postal savings service from the perspective ofthe foreign country’S postal savings service． Chapter three focuses on the SWOT of the postal savings service by the analysis of the intemal and external environment that the postal savings service is confr
