Abstract As educational correction is becoming the intemationally recognized practice in the juvenile delinquency problems，in order to prevent the juvenile delinquency,the school，which is the important place where the juveniles are educated，is obliged to play a critical role．This Paper focuses on the responsibilities of the school and as well defects in the juvenile delinquency prevention， Supported by Law of the People j Republic of China(PRcJ Juvenile Protection (enacted in】991)and Law of the PRC Juvenile Delinquency(enacted in 1999)，with consideration of the features and risk factors ofjuvenile delinquency,based on the schooling practices on prevention ofthejuvenile delinquency and researches ofthe relevant Chinese and foreign documentary databases and cases about the juvenile delinquency,the Paper discusses the responsibilities of school and defects in the prevention of juvenile delinquency,by a synthetic and objective analysis from multi—disciplinary facets consisting of criminology,law, criminalpsychology,administration and pedagogy in the effort to discover and summarize the root causes and the main strategies． 111e contents of the paper consist of five Sections—Section of Introduction and the other four Sections ofAnalysis of Issue． Section of Introduction：Present the background，the objectives mad the methodologies of the study on the school’S responsibilities in the juvenile delinquency prevention． Section One ofAnalysis of Issue：Analyze the collected typical cases and available study results，describe and sum_marize the status，features and risk factors of the juvenile delinquency．This analysis presents with the emphasis on the main concems under the circumstances of the current social development to detmI and narrow the study on the main points in the latter sections． Section Two of Analysis of Issue：Analyze in depth the issues of school’S responsibilities and as well defects．Based on the legal definitions given to the school’S responsibilities in Law． of t
