II Abstract Since the 1980s, a large amount of the married men went to the cities. Rural remaining wives have begun to appear, and will exist for a long time. The husband who worked in the cities increased the family income and improved living standards. But with the absence of the husband, the rural remaining wives will bear more like Agricultural production, Bringing up children, Supporting old people and etc. Besides, Long-term parted with the husband will make the marriage of the rural remaining wives meeting too much challenges. So we can say, big mental pressure, big labor intensity and lack of feeling safety is the real portrayal of the rural remaining wives. For this reason, this study is focus on the mental pressure to analyze the rural remaining wives present situation, explore increase the strategy ability of the rural remaining wives how to face the mental pressure, promote the development of the women. This study is based on the pressure theory and rural remaining wives research findings， construct the mental pressure theoretical model of the rural remaining wives，worked out the pressure questionnaires of remaining wives, use the questionnaires to have a survey in 360 rural remaining wives in 18 villages in ganzhou. The test results showed that the mental stress sources and coping strategy of the rural remaining wives was significant on age, educational level, personality type, marriage age and migrant workers experience. Along with the increase of age, the stress of the rural remaining wives from village environment reduced. With the increase of the migrant workers experience, the stress of the rural remaining wives from self status increased. With the improvement of education, the rural remaining wives who use problem solving strategies increased.
