abstract Abstract Being the primary event of the Olympic Games，the physical power events include track and field，swimming and water sports(including rowing，canoing and sailboard sailing)，upon whose development does a sports powerful country lay its foundation．However,the status of China being a sports country does not comply with the award—winning events，on the account of the fact that the number of medals gained in the Games is on continous increase year by year,while the development ofphysical power events grows tardily． With the methodology of literary materials，mathematical statistics as well as logical analysis，this thesis mainly tries to analyze the medals granted in the physical power events and the atheletes entering the final match in each category of events． The focus are as follows：the characteristies of achievements on the physical power events during the 23rd．29th Olympic Games；the characteristics of our country’S physical power events from the perspective of Events-group—based Theory；the stage divisions on the achievements of our country’S physical power events in the former Olympic Games；at last，the rational thinking and suggestive strategies on the future development of our country’S physical power events． Based on the study,this thesis regards that the physical—led group categories has demonstrated the following characteristics in the latest 7 Olympic Games：1)in terms of Quick．strength events．group，male atheletes made their first ernergeney in the Jumping Events，while female atheletes focus on the shot-put event among Throwing Sports and develop steadily．2)among the Speedy events—group，male atheletes make few achivements，regardless of Liu Xiang who excelled at the hurdle race，while female atheletes stand out in．short-distance swimming events，gaining 5 Golden Medals．7 Silver Medals and 3 Copper ones；3)Endurance events’group aS our country’S key events，has made an outstanding performance in the latest two Olympic Games．as Can be seen from the fact tha
