Abstract
these 50 students into two groups with 25 each while named one as experimental group and
the other is control group,both ale taught by the author but with different English teaching
method.For example:the experimental group is taught underthe Multiple Intelligence theory
teaching method while the control group is taught under the traditional teaching.In addition,
the teacher involved is well informed of various teaching techniques and is competent for the
use of computer and courseware.Besides,before the implementation of the research,
questionnaire and test paper al e used for the students to get a general mastering about their
present situations in pre—experiment,while questionnaire contains 20 questions which fall into
four categories:pupils’English learning attitude,pupils’English learning habits,pupils’
classroom performance as well as teachers’factors which influence pupils’interest.Test
paper are designed by the local authorities,contains 4 main types of questions.
The results of this research showed that pupils in the experimental group became
more interested in English learning and they acted more actively than pupils in the control
group.Their English abilities are improved a lot as well.Furthermore,pupils in
experimental group transferred their intelligences strengths to other fields more naturally
and frequently.This research proved that Multiple Intelligences theory played a significant
role in promoting pupils’learning interest in English as well as their English abilities.
