120706208 李笑育 Since I was young,my father had a great love for tea,such as Tie Guanyin( a variety of oolong tea),Piluochun tea(a variety of green tea), Brown Rice Sencha(a variety of food frying tea)and so forth. My father always invites many of his friends to our home to taste tea,chatting until the late night. 1.Geographic origins Camellia sinensis (茶树)originated in southeast Asia, specifically around the intersection of latitude 29°N and longitude 98°E, the point of confluence of the lands of northeast India, north Burma, southwest China and Tibet. The plant was introduced to more than 52 countries, from this ‘centre of origin’, rather than as a medicinal concoction. 2.Historical Origins The?history of tea?is long and complex, spreading across multiple cultures over the span of thousands of years.?Tea?likely originated in China during the?Shang dynasty?as a medicinal drink.?An early credible record of tea drinking dates to the 3rd century AD, in a medical text written by Hua Tuo.Tea was first introduced to Portuguese priests and merchants in China during the 16th century.?Drinking tea became popular in Britain during the 17th century. The British introduced tea production, as well as tea consumption, to India, in order to compete with the Chinese monopoly on tea. Preparation Step 1:Steeping. The traditional method of making or brewing a cup of tea is to place loose tea leaves, either directly or in a?tea infuser, into a?tea pot?or?teacup?and pour freshly boiled water over the leaves, a process called?steeping. Step 2: filtering. After a few minutes, the leaves are usually removed, either by removing the infuser or by filtering the tea with a strainer while serving.
