Check spoken English. 2.Revise the contents in last lesson. Dictate some words and expressions e.g. Wear many types of shoes crowed planet Robot settlers speed boots e-teacher take air tank Step2 Presentation 1.Free talk Do you like to live on Mars? Why? How do people go to Mars? Is the journey to Mars very comfortable? Is it very comfortable to live on Mars? 2.Use picture to present the following: Cars float in the air Keep away with laser light Low-gravity basketball game Many online theatres No air pollution caused by traffic Planet Mars Bank Space fashion and food shops Things from Earth are hard to find Usually friendly Visit the two moons Step 3 Presentation 1.Tell students that producing a flow chart is a useful way to organize their ideas. This will help make their piece of writing moreorganized. 2.Explain the context in PartA. Step 4 Practice 1.Ask the students to complete the chart using the phrases from the box. 2.Ask students to fill in the blanks in part B, page20 with the information from the flow chart on page 19. Students can work in pair to finish it on their own . 3.Ask 6 students to each read one paragraph. Check for mistakes and mispronunciation. Step 5 Practice 1.Encourage the students to produce a flow chart using any new ideas they can think of. Remind students that they do not have write about Mars. They can write about any other planet. 2.Tell the students that they should think of details to support each main idea. 3.When Ss have completed their charts, ask them to write a guide to their choshen planet using the information in the chart. Step 6
