He has finished writing the letters. 五. have to / must 1. have to 强调客观需要，能用于多种时态，don’t have to 表示不必。 I have to get home to do my homework. We had to work long hours every day in order to finish the work on time. You don’t have to hand in your exercises today. 2. must强调说话人的主观看法。mustn’t表示“决不可”、“千万不能。” We must clean our rooms every day. You mustn’t be late again next time. 六. wait 1. wait for sb / sth. I’m waiting for the bus. He is waiting for an answer. She is waiting for her sister. 2. wait to do 等着做某事 He is waiting to see the boss. wait 也用作及物动词，表示“等待”，后接时间，机会等。在口语中表示“为等待而推迟饭点、茶点”等。 He is waiting his chance. 他在等待时机。 Don’t wait dinner for me. 别等我吃饭。 七. stop 1. 名词，车站、站点 I get off at the next stop. 2. 动词，停止，常用于下列句式： （1）stop doing sth. “停止做某事”指停止正在做的事。 The students stopped talking when the teacher came in. （2）stop to do sth. 停下来去做某事，指停止原来的事去做另外一件事。 The students stop to talk.
