AICE / AP Environmental Management Plate Tectonics Investigation Introduction: In this investigation you will examine the locations of some of the most important active seismic areas of the world and map their locations. Additionally, you will use information about fossils and glacial records to prepare a map o f Pangea. Finally, you will use internet sources to locate current earthquakes and volcanoes and identify the source of these as either interactions of plate boundaries or intra-plate hot spots. Part A: Pangea Model Find a model or map of Pangea in a textbook or on the internet. You may copy paste or hand draw (trace) a representation of your map.
