SHALLOTTE BOARD OF ALDERMEN REGULAR MEETING SEPTMBER 4, 2007 7:00 P.M. The Shallotte Board of Aldermen met for a regular meeting on September 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the Shallotte Town Hall located at 110 Cheers Street. Mayor Gerald Long presided the meeting. Aldermen present: Jim Roach, Buddy Kelly, Larry Harrelson and John Kinlaw Aldermen absent: Jerry Jones Staff present: Sandy Hewett, Paul Sabiston, Cindy Babson, Chris Rogers and Attorney Laura Thompson I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Long called the meeting to order. A motion was made by Buddy Kelly seconded by John Kinlaw to open the meeting. Motion carried 4 yes 0 no. II. INVOCATION PLEDGE Mayor Long gave the Invocation followed by the Board and Audience reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. III. AGENDA AMENDMENTS APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Buddy Kelly seconded by Jim Roach to add Item #1 – Sunnyside Discussion under IX. Other Business and to recess this meeting instead of adjourning. Motion carried 4 yes 0 no. IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS A motion was made by Jim Roach seconded by Buddy Kelly to open the public hearing portion of the meeting. Motion carried 4 yes 0 no. Planning Zoning Item #07-047 – Marsh Office Project – Owner Benedict Del Re has requested that 2.37 acres + or – of property located at 355 Holden Beach Road be rezoned from RAM-15 to O/I (parcel – No comments at this time. Chapter 93 – Fire Prevention – Ordinance Amendments (A copy of the proposed amendments to Chapter 93 are available at the Shallotte Town Hall for public inspection) – No comments at this time. Planning Zoning Item #06-041 – Tidelands Preserve – Owner Peter Mace is requesting Master Plan approval as a Conditional Use for 22.60 acres + or -, located at 1391 Village Point Road (parcel. {All witnesses must be sworn and testimony given at this time.} – Town Clerk Sandy Hewett administered the Oath to Owner Peter Mace and adjoining property owner
