Step II Lead-in We have learned so many new words in these units. Can you memorize them ?Do you understand what they mean ?Would you like to try to write some clues to let us guess your words? Just listen to the teacher carefully and think about what the teacher says. Make the students concentrate on the new materials. 5’ 教师活动 学生活动 备注(教学目的、时间分配等) Step III Interactive activities 1a. Read the clues and complete the crosswords. This activity reviews some of the vocabulary that students have learned in earlier units. Focus students’ attention on the sample answer. Check that they understand what they need to do by having one or two students complete other answers. Ask students to do the crossword individually or in pairs. 1b. Choose words from units 6-10 and write a clue for each word. Read the clues to your partner. He or she guesses the word. This activity requires students to creatively use the language they have learned. Explain to students that they need to write clues like the clues for the crossword in activity 1a. Ask students to work in pairs. Step IV Summary Today we have reviewed many words and expressions that we learned before. Also we make up some our own clues. I hope it can help you to memorize the words better. Step V Exercises ( ) 1. This morning I had hardly got to my school when it ____ to rain.
