It’s sunny and hot.Sounds and words:/ l / snail,smell, pencil, tail, bell, hole. Vocabulary: spring, summer, fall, winter, sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy. Material: magazine pictures of the four seasons. Pictures Cards 25-32, Teaching Procedure: Step 1: Warming up: chant together Hot! Hot! So hot! Step 2: Write snail and smell on the board and underline l. Repeat after me. Snail. T: Let’s practice this sound. Have Ss look at the pictures on the page. T: Let’s listen to the tape. Play the tape and have Ss point to each word as the tape says it. T: Let’s listen again and this time, repeat. Have Ss repeat after the tape. After enough practice, point to the pictures randomly and have Ss say the words. Step 3: T: Now, close your book. Can you spell snail?
