Connecticut Technical High School System Exploratory Safety Program Safety Goals The Exploratory Safety Program will create an awareness of the need for following general trade/technology safety procedures. Program Goals - As a result of education in the Exploratory General Safety program in grade 9 students will: GOAL I: Safe work habits must be practiced in order to become habits. GOAL 1A: Following emergency protocol as it pertains to lockout, lock down and fire drills. GOAL IB: Proper storage and cleanup of Flammables, Chemicals, and hazardous materials and the use of MSDS sheets. GOAL II – Student Safety/Code of Conduct GOAL III: Know proper medical procedures to follow for student and staff safety including exposure control precautions to be taken in the event of an injury that occurs on school grounds or at a production job-site.
