Project Content Aims Teaching procedures Step1: Lead-in and warm up Ask some related questions to review and lead in. Play a game to warm up. How do you communicate with a new friend? In your opinion, what are the best ways to communicate? Motivate the Ss to take part in the activities in class and brainstorm some ideas. Step2 Presentation: Reading Fast-reading (Skimming): find out tips for good interpersonal communication. Scanning: Group them into the baskets below. (Group work) Get to know more about the content and key information about the lesson. Students can understand better through reading. Step3: Practice Retell the text. ⑴. Remember the topic sentence of each paragraph. ⑵. Retell the main idea of each paragraph. A: Do No.1. B: Do No.12. 2. Speaking(Pair-work): Work in pairs. Think about your family and friends. What makes you happy in the way they communicate with others? Talk about it. Test the students’ mastery about the knowledge and make students understand the text better. Students of different levels can do different tasks. Students can practice talking about what they have learned and get more information from each other. Step4 Production: Writing 1.Writing task: ●Topic: The Best Ways to Communicate Well ●Use what you have learned in this lesson.
