Research on effective teaching methods of higher vocational English 　　【Abstract】With the rapid development of our countrys education， the progress of English teaching in higher vocational colleges is gradually developed. Effective teaching become an important teaching concept and goal of all school courses. This article， analyzes the present situation of English teaching in higher vocational colleges， and points out that the shortcomings in the process of higher vocational English（HVE） teaching. Finally， attempt to explore some effective strategies to improve the quality of HVE teaching. 　　【Key words】effective； teaching methods； higher vocational English 　　1. Introduction 　　With the arrival of the era of economic globalization， the exchanges and cooperation between countries are becoming more and more frequent. English， as an international language， plays a very important role in the international communication. Therefore， the higher vocational colleges to cultivate the talents of the first line of society have paid more attention to the English teaching. Only by improving the level of English education in order to improve the overall level of education in higher vocational colleges， to enhance the comprehensive strength of college students. This paper firstly discussed the present situation of the HVE teaching and the existing problems. Then from the teacher teaching practice， probes into the effective teaching of HVE. At last， put forward some feasible countermeasures and measures summarized. 　　2.
