Beijing 100]76 , China) [Abstract] Objective To decíde whether the ECG modulat巳d current wíll effectively reduce the exposure dosage by making use of the cardiac phantom. Methods The cardiac pulsating phantom was set at 60 bpm as the basal heart rate , then the test was dívíded ínto 6 groups according to the fluctuant heart rate. The phantom was scanned with the 240 mA current , 120 kV tensíon , 16 X O. 625 mm thíckness and 0.275 : 1 pítch when the ECG modulated current was turned off , and the exposure dosage of each scan sequence was documented. The model of MSC丁 instrument was BríghtSpeed Elite , GE medícal systems. The quality of 2D and 3D ímages were divíded into 4 classes国 The results from the five groups with and without ECG modu- !ated current were analyzed. Results Statistical analysi日 showed no significant dífference (PO. 05) among the SNR of ima- ges from the five groups when the heart rate was fluctuant , and there was also no signíficant difference (PO. 05) between the quality of the 2D and 3D images with the rank sum test. The exposure dosage was remarkably reduced when the ECG modulated current was on than when it was off with the fluctuant heart rate. Furthermore, there were apparent significant difference (PO. 01) among the dífferent ECG modulated current parameter groups. The exposure dosage can be reduced from 45. 0 % to 7. 5 %, and the mean dosage reduction was 25. 4 % under the situation that the heart rate was undulated. 丁here was no obvious relat?vity between the Huctuat?on of the he
