The neonatal gestational ages and weights were closely related to the primary screening pass rate, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.05). Conclusions The choice of appropriate primary screening time in accordance with the different neonatal gestational ages and weights at birth can raise the primary screening pass rate and lower the false positive rate.
