Methods 24 cases with dHF, besides haptotherapy, received ALSS, including plasma exchange and hemoperfusion; an observation was made to the clinical symptoms and the changes of hepatic function, blood ammonia and prothrombin activities.Results The clinical symptoms were improved at certain degrees; the total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, alanine tranasaminase (ALT), aspartate tranasaminase (AST) and blood ammonia were much lower than those before treatment (P lt;0.05 or P lt;0.01) while PTa increased (P lt;0.05); the effective rate was 79.2%, and side-effects were mild.Conclusions ALSS is safe and effective in treating patients with dHP.
