Method of coronary plaque were randomly divided into atorvastatin treated group (A, atorvastatin 20 mg / d orally, at bedtime), probucol treatment group (B group, 500 mg probucol orally, 2 times a day), atorvastatin combined low-dose probucol group (C group, atorvastatin 20 mg / d, at bedtime; probucol 250 mg, 2 times a day orally), Atorvastatin combined with high-dose probucol group (D group, atorvastatin 20 mg / d, at bedtime; probucol 500 mg, 2 times a day orally), were treated for 6 months. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) detection of ADMA concentrations before and after treatment, colorimetric determination of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL C) levels before and after treatment of intravascular ultrasound crown clock plaque load. Results of each group after treatment than before treatment in patients with ADMA levels were significantly lower (P lt;0.05), where C group and D group than in the A group and B group were also significantly lower (P lt;0.05). Lipid A, C, D group than in the B group decreased more significantly (P lt;0.05), C group and D group of lipids decreased the level of the difference was not statistically significant, LDL C levels B, C, D group than in the A group decreased significantly (P lt;0.05). Before and after treatment in each group no significant difference in plaque burden. Conclusions ADMA is an independent risk factor for coronary heart disease, ADMA concentration may be the start of coronary atherosclerosis and a sign of disease progression.
