[Method] in July 1999 ~ December 2003 with the Clover plate in treatment of Pilon fractures of 42 cases. 30 males and 12 females; aged 15 to 62 years, an average of 453 years old; open fracture in 9 cases, 33 cases of closed fracture; reference RuediAllgower fracture typing methods, Ⅰ-type 15 cases, Ⅱ type 18 cases, Ⅲ type 9 cases. [Results] 42 patients were followed an average of 28 months (14 ~ 60 months); fracture healing in 11 to 26 weeks, an average of 16 weeks. Postoperative complications included superficial wound infection in 6 cases of deep infection in 2 cases, severe traumatic ankle arthritis, 2 cases of ankle joint ankylosis in 1 case. Ankle joint function according to Bourne standard, excellent in 19 cases, good in 17 cases, fair in 4 cases and poor in 2 cases, good rate of 857%. [Conclusion] clover plate in treatment of Pilon fractures significantly, but there are some complications in clinical use must pay close attention. [Method] Fourtytwo cases of the final pilon fractures were treated with Ⅲ leaves type plate from July 1999 to December 2003. There were 30 males and 12 females, the average age was 45.3 years (ranged, 15 ~ 62 years), 9 cases were open fracture and 33 cases were open fracture. According to the RuediAllgower classification, there were 15 cases of type Ⅰ fracture, 18 cases of type Ⅱ fracture and 9 cases of type Ⅲ fracture. [R
