Results In the control (double distilled water) group no significant hippocampal CA1 area of the DND, different doses of DHK caused by varying degrees of hippocampal CA1 area of the DND, and the dose-dependent manner. Conclusion Different doses of glutamate transporter GLT1 inhibitor DHK caused by hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons in delayed death, and dose-dependent manner. Methods Global cerebral ischemic model was made by Fourvessel occlusion. DHK was administrated by injection into right lateral cerebral ventricle . The brain of the rats was sectioned and stained with thionin to show delayed neuronal death (DND) and Histological Grade (HG) in the CA1 hippocampus. Results There was no apparent DND in control (distilled water) group. DHK of different doses caused DND of pyramidal neurons in the CA1 hippocampus, and to offter dose dependent. Conclusion DHK caused DND of pyramidal neurons in the CA1 hippocampus in a dosedependent manner.
