Methods 27 cases of patients with defects larger fingers (31 fingers) to accept distant flap repair the defect, After using the improved method of fixation. The results except for 1 patient abandoned by free skin graft flap to repair defects, the remaining cases were successful flap, defect received early repair; followed up for 6 months to 1 year, finger morphology and function. Conclusion defect in the finger after the application of improved distant flap transfer and fixation is conducive to flap survival. [Keywords:] distant flap; repair; finger defects; fixed; Improvement Abstract Objective To discuss the application of expanded skin flap transfer with modified fixation method in repairing finger defect.Methods 31 fingers of 27 cases with large area defect were repaired with expanded skin flap transfer and the skin flap was fixed in a modified way.Results Except 1 case who stopped skin flap to have the repair with free skin grafting, all the other cases had successful skin flap transfer and the defected fingers were repaired at an early time; follow-up lasted from 6 months to 1 year, and the finger shape and function were both good.Conclusions The improved expanded skin flap transfer with modified fixation method is good for the survival of skin flap in repairing finger defect.
