Methods SD rats were Bedford incremental Treadmill Running motion model, electric acupuncture apparatus with Han on the exercise-induced fatigue in rats with bilateral acupoint for 2 / 15 Hz, 2 / 100 Hz stimulation of two different frequencies, using high performance liquid electrochemical method to detect the single hypothalamic Neurotransmitter content. Results (1) exercise group in the rat hypothalamus 5-HT (5 HT) increased while dopamine (DA) level was significantly lower (P lt;0.05, P lt;0.01). (2) Sports + EA (2 / 15 Hz), exercise + EA (2 / 100 Hz) within the two groups of hypothalamic 5 HT, DA content and 60 min after exercise group, significant difference (P lt;0.05). (3) Sports + EA (2 / 15 Hz) group of hypothalamic DA content and exercise + EA (2 / 100 Hz) group, significant difference (P lt;0.05). Conclusions (1) acute exercise can significantly increase the hypothalamus 5 HT and NA content, decreased DA content in the hypothalamus. (2) different frequencies of electroacupuncture in rats after acute exercise can reduce the hypothalamic 5 HT content and increased DA content. (3) 2 / 15 Hz to filter the power may be needle to eliminate the best frequency of exercise-induced fatigue.
