 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 4 Entrapment bone graft in ankylosing spondylitis total hip arthroplasty treatment of [Abstract] [Objective] To investigate the entrapment of autologous bone graft in the non-bone cement-type total hip replacement in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with hip disease in the application of clinical effects. [Method] in March 1996 ~ March 2003, using autogenous bone graft entrapment of non-bone cement-type total hip replacement in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis combined femoral severe osteoporosis of the hip joint lesions in 17 patients (24 hips ). Surgery the average age of 35.1 years (20 ~ 52 years); with Harris scoring method and X-ray observation of clinical efficacy evaluation. [Results] 17 patients received a full 24 hips followed up for 3 to 10 years, an average of 7.25 years. Harris score from preoperative to postoperative average of 34 minutes on average 84.4 points, after an excellent rate of 87.5%. X-ray film see the femoral prosthesis and the proximal femur in close-voltage distribution; no prosthesis infection and dislocation. A hip prosthesis appears 5mm sinking occurred after a year, after five years of follow-up observation, no further subsidence of prosthesis, and good contact with the bone present, no loose performance. [Conclusion] The bone mass of non-cemented prosthesis greater impact on the efficacy of using autogenous bone graft technology entrapment bone reconstruction, for ankylosing spondylitis with severe osteoporosis in patients with total hip arthroplasty provides a kinds of good solution, the clinical results were satisfactory.
