How often do you exercise? The Second Period: Section A (Grammar Focus–3c) 一、教学目标 (一)知识目标 1.Master the new words and phrases: maybe, least, at least 2. Master WH–questions: What do…?How often…? –What do you usually do on weekends? –I usually exercise. –How often does he watch TV? –He hardly ever watches TV. (二)、能力目标 1. Learn to talk about how often you do things with the target language. 2. Improve students’ speaking skill. (三)、情感目标 Lead the students to keep a diary every day in English and do more exercise to keep healthy. Educate the students to study hard and be a good student. 二、学情分析 八年级学生经过一年多的英语学习和训练,大部分学生已经形成比较好的学习习惯,但少数学生上课注意力容易分散,学习缺乏主动性、积极性和持久性,课后不能及时的复习所学内容。学生的阅读能力和书面表达能力比较弱,不能熟练运用学过的句型。在平时的教学过程中,我应该注意抓学生的基础知识,培养与提高学生的阅读能力和写作能力,鼓励学生多说、多读英语,提高学生的学习效率,构建有效教学课堂。 三、教学重点和难点 1. Master the new words and target language. 2. Master the sentences structures “How often…?” and “What do you usually …? 四、教学过程 Step1.Lead–in Greet the students and check the homework, Ask students to talk about their weekends by asking:“ What do you usually do on weekends? How often do you…?” Step2. Presentation 1. Teach the new words Show the new words on the blackboard and teach students how to read them and ask them to repeat. 2. Grammar Focus First, invite some students to read the sentences in the box and explain their Chinese meanings. Then, lead students to read them sentence by sentence, call pronunciation and tone . List some difficult language points on the blackboard and explain them. Step3 Practice 1. Teach Activity3a First, lead students to read the instruction of activity to know what to do and how to do it. Then, give them several minutes to do it individually. They may check the answers. 2. Teach Activity3b First, lead students to understand the instruction of activity, give them three minutes to think about how to do this activity. Then, invite four students to present the complete questions with given words and explain their meanings in Chinese. Divide students
