The results of 27 cases of ampullary carcinoma, True FISP sequence showed 10 cases of common bile duct cut, 12, duodenum papilla filling defect in 9 cases, common bile duct pressure narrows in 6 cases, distal common bile duct showed unclear in 2 patients. Conclusion steady state gradient echo sequence magnetic resonance (Truei FISP to display bile duct system, as the preferred sequence plus a variety of MRI imaging sequences, the diagnosis of ampullary cancer has an important role. Materials and Metheds: The MRI date of 27 cases with ampulary carcinoma diagnosed by operation and pathology were analyzed retrospectively. True FISP sequence is used as first choice in the MRI examination for all pationts. Results: In 27 cases with ampulary carcinoma, the signal features in the True FISP sequnce reveal common bile duct cut-off strcture in 10 cases, no signal filling defect in 9 cases, press narrow in 6 cases, vision unclear in 2 cases. Conclusion: True FISP as the sequence of first choice in the MRI examination for the pationts who have ampulary carcinoma has important value..
