METHODS: A selfmade doublebarreled cannula was used to attach on the anterior wall of left ventricle. Some pure icecold acetic acid was poured on the anterior wall to induce a regional necrosis. An ECG instrument in whole synchronization of 24 leads was used to record the ECGs of the rabbits with normal or myocardial necrosis and analyze the wave shape and swing of the 2 different kinds of ECGs. RESULTS: The most of left ventricular myocardial necrosis were subepicardial necrosis which was limited in the half of the ventricular wall. The numbers of leads and rabbits with necrosis wave Q recorded by headchest leads were less than those recorded by routine leads. CONCLUSION: In the left ventricular subepicardial necrosis, the number of necrosis wave Q recorded by headchest leads is less than that recorded by routine leads. The former is consistent with pathological examination. Headchest leads indicate a more limited necrosis region.
