Methods 18 New Zealand rabbits were divided into A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3 six groups, A group contents of the line eye plus orbital enucleation implant, B group underwent enucleation implants plus surgery, were implanted n HA/PA66 artificial eye, artificial eye after 3mm holes and rows of studs implantation, a group of drilling depth of 7mm, 2 groups 9mm, 3 group 11mm, observation of 6mm. Results after B3 group 1 eye infection, recovered after treatment, the remaining 17 animals were successfully implant drilling , stud placement. Conclusion n HA/PA66 implant can be successfully completed drilling and placement of stud. [Keywords:] n HA/PA66, artificial eye, stud bstract Objective To observe the effect of drilling and pegging on the implanted n HA/PA66 artificial eye mount and the occurrence of complications.Methods 18 New Zealand rabbits were divided into 6 groups: A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 and B3; exenteratio bulbi and the implantation of n HA / PA 66 artificial eye mount were performed in all the A groups while enucleation of eyeball and the implantation of n HA / PA 66 in all the B groups; 3 months after operation, drilling and pegging were made on the implanted artificial eye mounts; the drilling depth in the 1 groups was 7 mm, and 9 mm in the 2 groups and 11 mm in the 3 groups; the observation kept on for 6 months.Result Out of the 18 rabbits, 1 eye of a rabbit in group B3 had infection and recovered after certain treatment, the rest 17 rabbits received drilling and pegging smoothly after the artificial eye mounts were implanted.Conclusions Drilling and pegging can be smoothly performed on the implanted n HA/PA66 artificial eye mount.
