Methods: SHR were randomly divided into 50 buck-Ⅰ high, medium and low-dose group and blank control group and the captopril group, 10 in each group. Experiment were measured before and after the blood pressure of rats in each group, and the determination of left ventricular mass index before and after experiment (LVMI). Results: The treatment group were reduced SHR blood pressure. High-dose group and captopril group were varying degrees of reversal of left ventricular hypertrophy. Conclusion: The Buck Ⅰ on the SHR with blood pressure and reversal of left ventricular hypertrophy. [Keywords:] buck Ⅰ ; spontaneously hypertensive rats; left ventricular hypertrophy Abstract: Objectives: To observe the effect of Jiangya Ⅰ on the blood pressure of SHR and to discusses on the rever-sion mechanism of LVH.Methods: Fifty SHRs were chosen randomly to higher, middle and lower dose Jiangya Ⅰ group, blank group, Captopril group.Ten rats in every group.Measured the blood pressure and Left ventricular mass index (LVMI) of the rats in each group before experiment and after experiment.Results: All groups have the effect of lower the blood pressure of SHR.The scope of lower blood pressure of Captopril group were the greatest.No prominent difference between Captopril and higher dose Jiangya Ⅰ Group.Compared Captopril group with middle and lower dose Jiangya Ⅰ group, there were evi-dent difference.Both the Captopril and higher dose Jiangya Ⅰ group had the reversion role of LVH in different degree . Com-pared with Captopril group the efeect of the higher dose Jiangya Ⅰ group was more evidently.
