The so-called psychosomatic diseases, is a set of physical disease, its incidence, development, prognosis and prevention are closely related and psychosocial factors [1]. With the changes in disease spectrum of human and medical model from the biomedical model to the bio-psychosocial   the changing pattern of social medicine, psychosomatic illness and psychosomatic medicine is receiving increasing attention. In the previous Chinese medicine theory, although there is no ‘psychology’, ‘psychosomatic illness’ term, yet its psychosomatic medicine thinking it is extremely rich. The existing more than 2000 years ago, one of China’s earliest medical classic ‘Yellow Emperor’ of psychosomatic diseases of social and psychological risk factors, understanding of the pathogenesis, diagnosis and prevention, there are many brilliant expositions. The modern psychosomatic medicine as an emerging discipline although only a few decades of development history, but its development is faster. In this paper, the disease concept of psychosomatic medicine and modern medicine concept of psychosomatic disorder were made to elaborate.
