Our department for nearly 10 years pancreaticoduodenectomy were performed 62 cases to take on the prevention of surgical complications, some of the measures, and achieved good results, are reported as follows. A clinical data 1.1 General Information A total of 62 cases in this group, of which 43 males, 19 females, aged 34 to 72 years. 1.2 Operation mode The group by classic pancreaticoduodenectomy 55 cases, pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy in 4 cases, 3 cases of pancreatic anastomosis, pancreatic duct stent placed inside the 58 cases, of which 21 cases cited to in vitro. 1.3 Pathological diagnosis This group of duodenal papilla cancer (tumor) in 5 cases. Lower bile duct and periampullary carcinoma in 26 cases, 2 cases of duodenal cancer, 29 cases of pancreatic head cancer. 1.4 Results Post-operative complications in this group 12 cases, of which 7 cases of pancreatic fistula, biliary fistula in 2 cases, 1 case delayed gastric emptying, pulmonary infection in 4 cases (including 2 cases associated with pancreatic fistula, 1 patient with biliary fistula), incision infection in 2 cases (1 case of combined pancreatic fistula). 2 patients died during hospitalization, and 1 for pancreatic fistula abdominal infection, caused by multiple organ failur
