Methods 38 healthy SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, control group, epilepsy group and Pregabalin 3 dose groups (20,40,80 mg / kg). observed before and after intraperitoneal injection of PTZ seizures conditions and record the cortical electroencephalogram (electrocoti cogram, ECoG). application of Western blot analysis of hippocampus CA1 zone electrophoresis P38MAPK its upstream MKK3, downstream of c-MYC-related protein. Results epilepsy group appeared to have seizures after PTZ, onset of pregabalin reduced significantly. ECoG latency, epileptiform discharges shorten the duration of one hour. Meanwhile, compared with the control group, epilepsy group and the doses of Pregabalin 3 protein expression in rat CA1 area intensity increased (P lt; 0.05); with the epilepsy group, Pregabalin 3 dose groups of rats decreased intensity of protein expression in CA1 area (P lt;0.05). Conclusion Pregabalin on PTZ-induced epileptic seizures in rats significantly against the role of hippocampus of rats with epilepsy protection, its role and P38MAPK pathway related proteins expression.
