Psychological and social factors in patients with esophageal cancer-related research [Keywords:] psychosomatic diseases; esophageal cancer; psychological factors; social factors; intervention [Abstract] Objective To investigate the psychosocial factors related to the impact of patients with esophageal carcinoma. Methods 49 patients with esophageal carcinoma (study group) and 49 patients neighbor (control group) using Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, Social Support Scale, Life Events Scale was assessed analysis. Results Study Group Eysenck Personality Questionnaire E dimension scores were significantly lower than the control group, N dimension scores and the L dimension score was significantly higher (P amp;lt;0.01); social support scale of objective support, support the use of degrees and Social Support Total study group compared with the control group (P amp;lt;0.01); Life Event Scale total life events, negative life events research group scores significantly higher (P amp;lt;0.05). Conclusions esophageal cancer patients with a high degree of psychosocial factors related to drug treatment during the same time should focus on psycho-social interventions. Methods 49 patients with oesophagus cancer (study group) and 49 neighbors of the patients (control group) were tested with Eysenck personality questionnaire (EPQ), social supporting scale (SSS) and life event scale (LES), the results were analyzed. Results Compared with control group, the scores of E of EPQ was obviously lower and the scores of N obviously higher in study group.
