Methods: A retrospective analysis of September 2005 ~ September 2008 our department by the pterional microsurgery of sellar region tumors 42 cases of surgery to discuss the sellar tumor via pterional microsurgery indications, complications, analysis of options by the pterional micro-surgery related factors. Results: 42 patients, the line All 31 cases of endoscopic resection, subtotal resection in 11 cases, total resection rate was 73.8%. Postoperative complications: the amount of grain disappearance in 1 case, diabetes insipidus and electrolyte disorders in 18 cases, no deaths.
