Methods: 37 eyes of 37 patients with chronic macula after cataract surgery cystoid edema in 17 eyes of patients, retrobulbar injection of triamcinolone acetonide combined laser photocoagulation, 20 eyes photocoagulation treatment alone, followed 6mo, compared before and after treatment visual acuity, fundus fluorescein angiography changes and complications. Results: 1mo after treatment, all patients had significantly improved vision the majority. 6mo treatment, the combination therapy group visual acuity improvedgt; 2 Walker 11 (65%), stability and change in visual acuity within 1 line in 4 eyes (23%), decreased visual acuitygt; 2 Freelander 2 eyes (12%), edema in 14 eyes (82%, edema did not return three (18%); simple photocoagulation visual acuity improvedgt; 2 Walker 3 (15%), visual stability and change in line 1 within the 11 eyes (55%), decreased visual acuitygt; 2 Walker 6 (30%). edema in 9 eyes (40%, edema in 11 eyes of non-retired (60%). the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.05). Conclusion: Laser retrobulbar injection of triamcinolone acetonide after cataract surgery than a simple laser treatment of cystoid macular edema, better efficacy, and safe and convenient.
