Results of high dose group of mice roadside daisy stress ulcer index was significantly lower than the control group (P lt;0.05), roadside daisy high dose group and low dose group were acetic acid induced chronic gastric ulcer ulcer index significantly lower than the control group (P lt;0.05). Conclusion roadside daisy decoction has some role in prevention and treatment of gastric ulcer. MethodsAcute gastric ulcer mouse models induced by water immersion stress and chronic gastric ulcer rat model induced by acetic acid were used to observe the anti- gastric ulcer action of Boltonia indica (L.). ResultsCompared with control group, the high dose group of Boltonia indica (L.) could decrease the ulcer index in mice with acute gastric ulcer induced by water immersion stress (P lt;0.05). Both the high dose group and the low dose group of Boltonia indica (L.) could decrease the ulcer index in rats with chronic gastric ulcer induced by acetic acid (P lt;0.05). ConclusionWater-decocted solution from Boltonia indica (L.) has a certain preventive and therapeutic effect on gastric ulcer.
