English Abstract
Idioms are a special kind of linguistic phenomenon, is the essence of language, it reflects a nation’s cultural identity. English and Chinese languages have their own long history, with a large number of idioms, but the failure of the two peoples in different historical process of the formation of differences in cultural awareness, such as living environment, customs, geography, historical background, etc. expressed with regard to the significance of the existence of significant differences, there are cultural differences between English and Chinese idioms. English and Chinese in the cultural differences that make the Chinese students in learning English idioms, the do not understand its meaning; the same time, interference by the native culture, and thus the understanding of English idioms produce errors or bias. To eliminate the interference of native culture, the correct understanding, learning and application of English idioms, you need to understand and grasp the two peoples of different cultural origins on the basis of learning.
