Theadventofdatabaseserviceshasresultedinprivacyconcernsonthepartoftheclient storingdatawiththirdpartydatabaseserviceproviders. Previousapproachestoenablingsucha servicehavebeenbasedondataencryption,causingalargeoverheadinqueryprocessing. Adis- tributed architecturefor secure database services isproposed as a solutionto this problem where dataisstoredatmultipleservers.Thedistributedarchitectureprovidesbothprivacyaswellasfault tolerancetotheclient. Inthispaperweprovidealgorithmsfor(1)distributingdata: ourresultsin- cludehardnessofapproximationresultsandhenceaheuristicgreedyalgorithmforthedistribution problem(2)partitioningthequeryattheclienttoqueriesfortheserversimplementedbyabottom upstatebasedalgorithm.
