Eachoftheseprocessesdependsonplateletsandbloodcoagulum. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is used to improve osseointegration and stabilityofimplants.Itisabloodfractionproducedinacentrifugewhich containsahighconcentrationofplatelets.Plateletscontainnumerous growthfactorswhichinfluencetissuereactions. TheaimoftheresearchistotestclinicallytheinfluenceofPRP and guided tissue regeneration in bone defects on dental implant stabilitywithearlyinsertion. Anexperimentalstudyhasbeendoneon10experimentaldogs. 40BCTimplantswereinserted,4foreachdog(twoontheleftsideand twoontherightside,withguidedtissueregeneration).Mobilityofthe implantswasmeasuredwiththePeriotest tool,firstimmediatelyafter insertion and then 10 weeks after insertion. Results of measuring implantmobilityaccordingtothePeriotestscaleshowedthatallfour groups of implants can be classified as belonging to the 0 degree implantmobilitygroup. Onthebasisoftheresultsweconcludethatthemobilityofdental implantswaslowestintheprotocolwherePRPwasappliedcombined withbovinedeproteinizedboneandresorbablemembraneofbovine origin.
