Micellarliquidchromatography(MLC)withtheuseofhighperformanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)wasusedtodetermine somephysicochemicalparametersofsixbiogenicamines:adrenaline,dopamine,octopamine,histamine,2-phenylethylamine,and tyramine.Inthispaper,anin?uenceofsurfactant’sconcentrationandpHofthemicellarmobilephaseontheretentionofthetested substanceswasexamined.Todeterminethein?uenceofsurfactant’sconcentrationontheretentionofthetestedamines,bu?ered solutions(atpH7.4)ofionicsurfactant—sodiumdodecylsulfateSDS(atdi?erentconcentrations)withacetonitrileasanorganic modi?er(0.8/0.2v/v)wereusedasthemicellarmobilephases.Todeterminethein?uenceofpHofthemicellarmobilephaseon theretention,mobilephasescontainedbu?eredsolutions(atdi?erentpHvalues)ofsodiumdodecylsulfateSDS(at0.1M)with acetonitrile(0.8/0.2v/v).Theinverseofvalueofretentionfactor(1/k)versusconcentrationofmicelles(CM)relationshipswere examined.Otherphysicochemicalparametersofsolutessuchasanassociationconstantanalyte—micelle(Kma)—andpartition coe?cientofanalytebetweenstationaryphaseandwater(hydrophobicitydescriptor)(PswΦ)weredeterminedbytheuseofFoley’s equation. 1.Introduction itspeculiarfeaturesanduniqueadvantages[6].MLCisan e?ective
