Thispaperstudiesthee?ectofzincoxidearrester(ZnO)andneutralearthresistanceoncontrollingnonconventionaloscillations oftheunloadedpowertransformer.At?rst,ferroresonanceovervoltageinthepowersystemincludingZnOisinvestigated.It isshownthisnonlinearresistancecanlimittheferroresonanceoscillationsbutitcannotsuccessfullycontrolthesephenomena.
