We use the bifurcation method of dynamical systems to study the traveling wave solutions for the generalized Zakharov equations. A number of traveling wave solutions are obtained. Those solutionscontainexplicitperiodicblow-upwavesolutionsandsolitarywavesolutions. 1. Introduction TheZakharovequations iutuxx?uv0, 1.1 vtt?vxx |u|2 0, xx areofthefundamentalmodelsgoverningdynamicsofnonlinearwavesinone-dimensional systems.TheZakharovequationdescribetheinteractionbetweenhigh-frequencyandlow- frequencywaves.Thephysicallymostimportantexampleinvolvestheinteractionbetween the Langmuir and ion-acoustic waves in plasmas 1 .
