Functionallink-basedneuralnetworkmodelswereappliedtopredictopencastminingmachineriesnoise.Thepaperanalyzesthe predictioncapabilitiesoffunctionallinkneuralnetworkbasednoisepredictionmodelsvis-`a-visexistingstatisticalmodels.In orderto?ndtheactualnoisestatusinopencastmines,someofthepopularnoisepredictionmodels,forexample,ISO-9613-2, CONCAWE,VDI,andENM,havebeenappliedinminingandalliedindustriestopredictthemachineriesnoisebyconsidering various attenuation factors.
