The solution is searched as a series of products of wavelet coe?cientsandwavelets. Theabsolute errorforageneral caseofthewavelet approximation was analytically estimated. 1.Introduction Mathematicalmodelsdescribeavarietyofphysicalandengineeringproblemsandprocesses which can be represented by integral equations IEs. The homogeneous Fredholm IE is writtenasfollows: λfx? Kx,tftdt0, b 1.1 a whereaandbare?nitenumbers,thekernelKx,tisknownfunction,andλandfxarethe unknowneigenvalueandassociatedeigenfunction.Equation1.1hasanontrivialsolution onlyforsomevaluesofλ.
