MoreandmoreresearchesshowedthatQDs- basedtechnologymaybecomeapromisingapproachincancerresearch.Inthisreview,wefocusonrecentapplicationofQDs incancerdiagnosisandtreatment,includingearlydetectionofprimary tumorsuchasovariancancer,breastcancer,prostate cancerandpancreaticcancer,aswellasregionallymphnodesanddistantmetastases.WiththedevelopmentofQDssynthesisand modi?cation,thee?ectofQDsontumormetastasisinvestigationwillbecomemoreandmoreimportantinthefuture. 1.Introduction dots (QDs), a heterogeneous class of engineered nanopar- ticles with unique optical and chemical properties making them important nanoparticles with numerous potential applicationsrangingfrommedicinetoenergy[7,8].Used as in vitro and in vivo ?uorophores, QDs are intensely studied in molecular, cellular, and in vivo imaging due to their novel optical and electronic properties [9–11].
